From the beginning, we have insisted that our wine be made from 100% Albanian grapes. This gives us a very strong identity. The wine we produce must be connected to the land where the grapes are grown. We knew that if we wanted to set the standard for high quality Albanian wine, we had to represent ourselves with authentic grapes.
We believe that wine is a form of culture. It is a philosophy of life. The making of wine is particular and time-consuming. As such, it demands the right touch, the right minds, and hands to make it a special, high quality product. Our winery is more than a businessit's a passion. It is our pleasure to grow the grapes, harvest them, and produce wine. We want to show others and ourselves that our wine is differenta unique, high quality wine.
Shesh i Bardhë
Shesh i Bardhë is Çobo's presentation of a traditional Albanian white wine. The wine is named for the succulunt variety of grape from which is it produced.
Shesh i Zi
Shesh i Zi is the red variety of the shesh grape. There are many variations in the flavor and color of shesh wine. We have diligently selected the saplings used to cultivate our vineyard to ensure a full-tasting wine.
Kashmer
Kashmer is a special blend of Cabernet, Merlot, and Shesh i Zi varieties. It is a family specialty and is one of two signature wines and is produced and sold exclusively by Çobo Winery.
Trebiano
Part of our philosophy is to refine and improve indigenous Albanian grapes by selectively introducing foreign varieties. Trebiano is an Italian variety that is well adapted to the Berat region.
E Bardha e Berati
E Bardha e Berati, "The White Grapes of Berat", is a product of the puls grape, found only in this region. Traditionally used to make raki, wine was first produced in 2003. This is the second of Çobo's signature wines.
